REVIEW:

In all my years of movie watching, I don't think I've laughed harder than I did with Wayne's World, which to me might be the best motion picture ever made. Wayne's World is about Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, two best buds who have their own television show on public TV late Friday nights. One day Benjamin Kane, a television station executive, sees the show and wants to make Wayne's World a huge show. At the same time, Wayne falls for the lead guitarist of a local band named Cassandra. But little does Wayne & Garth know is that Benjamin has plans that, if Wayne and Garth don't make Wayne's World #1 on the TV ratings, he will steal Cassandra, the show, and everything they ever knew about. Nah, but the first two things were correct. This movie is, in my opinion, the funniest and best movie ever made. What made this so 'Shwing'in awesome is because in every single minute there is a laugh til' you cry moment implanted into its SNL core. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey do some of the funniest comedy work any man or Garth has ever done. I know you must think I'm exaggerating, but this is the one movie that I could watch over and over and over and over and over again and it would still make me laugh. Ferris Bueller, my now #2 movie might one day go back to the top, like how it passed Avatar back in March, but for now, Wayne's World is placed at the top as being My Favorite Movie Of ALL TIME. So if you haven't grab your parents, hot babes, rockin music, some grey poupon, anyone else you know, and watch what original SNL were before they got bad with Wayne's World. Party On and always be Excellent. Shwing!

REVIEW:

Although a little slow at parts, Prince Of Persia is saved by its visual effects and riveting climax. Prince Of Persia is about Dastan, a prince who was adopted by the king of Persia off of the slums of the marketplace. 15 years later, Dastan finds a dagger that can turn back time with only the holder of the dagger aware of it. But Dastan's ruthul uncle Nizam wants to be king, and needs the dagger to do so. So now Dastan and Princess Tamina must return the dagger to its rightful place before Nizam desroys the entire face of humanity. This movie was very interesting to watch. Not in a bad way, but this wasn't as good as I anticipated it to be. I mean, the special effects were off the scale and the premise was solid, but the dialoge was a little bland and the story just went dry in the middle. But on the plus side, the actors knew what they were doing and did a good job along the way. I can't think of much else to say except that this is not as good as Pirates Of The Caribbean or The Chronicles Of Narnia series', but this is a whole lot more entertaining than Jerry Bruckheimer's 3D flick from last year, G-Force. So, if you're looking for some popcorn fun instead of Sex And The City 2 (which is probably going to make a crap load more than this,) then go and see Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. But believe me, if you want to see a good summer movie, then check out either Iron Man 2 or Shrek Forever After (Shrek is in 3D if you have the $.)

REVIEW:

Shrek, the lovable, green ogre we all know and love is finally making his final curtain call on the big screen after nearly a decade, and does it in a way that makes us believe that there is still a happily ever after, even if during the journey there are a few stinky sequels that wish that they weren't made. (COUGH: Shrek The Third) In what is known as The Final Chapter, we find Shrek, Fiona, and the rest of the gang after "Happily Ever After" where Shrek, instead of being a ferocious monster is now a domesticated creature. Instead of scaring away villagers, he's signing their pitchforks. So one day, Rumplestilskin, the magical trikster from our storybooks come and gives Shrek a deal: He can be a regular Ogre for a day if Rumple can take away one day in Shrek's life. So Shrek signs away, and creates a world; An alternate world that he never existed in where Donkey is a slave, Puss In Boots is a fat couch potato, and he and Fiona, his one true love have never met. So now, Shrek has 24 hours to set everything right before he disappers from existence entirely. Shrek Forever After is the one Shrek sequel I actually enjoyed as much as the original. As a matter of fact, this might be the best Shrek movie in the series. For me, the main reason that I enjoyed the movie was because the storyline didn't revolve around the villan being Fairy Godmother or Prince Charming, which to me were the least appetizing part of the Shrek series. Also, this movie was sprayed all over with buckets and buckets of comedy that didn't go over kids heads. Another funny factor in the movie is the constant reference of Puss In Boots, our heroic feline, is an overweight sloucher that doesn't do much. As well as Puss, Plus, the animation in some of the parts were amazing to watch, especially in 3D, which I would highly recommend for any family wanting to see a movie before Toy Story 3. This Shrek movie makes me wish that the series wasn't ending, because A.) this series was a big part of my childhood and B.) as I've already said, this is quite possibly the best Shrek movie in the series. So, if you're looking for high family fun that will make you laugh alot and think about the important things in life, then see Shrek for the best and final time on the big screen with Shrek Forever After. Goodbye, Shrek, and may you live a Happily Ever After in the hearts of families all over the world. Also, before you see the movie, go out and eat some chimmichunga's. Don't ask why I'm saying this.

PIXAR TOP 10: #5 Monsters Inc.

Although the original Shrek was better and did win the Oscar in 2002, Monsters, Inc. still provides enough laughs to edge past Up as my back of the top 5. Monsters Inc, of course sets up a world behind a child's closet and into the world of Monsters behind their and are actually afraid of little kids/humans. So, when a child enters the monster world, it's up to a one eyed midget monster and the scariest monster in town to get her back to our world. Every time I watch this movie, it always gives me a good laugh on the inside to think that monsters might actually be afraid of us instead of the other way around. This movie can also encourage little kids to believe that the monsters are afraid of us and on the inside they are lovable, funny things. Plus, you can't beat the lovable and comedic Billy Crystal as a one eyed ball with hands and feet name Mike and John Goodman as a funny and giant blue monster with purple spots named Sully. And if you love this movie, PIXAR is finally batching up a sequel to this movie which is supposed to come out in late 2012. (If we're still here) So, if you enjoy PIXAR movies like Up & The Incredibles, then check out one of their earlier classics as you will enter the world of Monsters, Inc.

PIXAR TOP 10: #6 Up

If you love imaginative stories, sad but heartwarming PIXAR moments, and a talking dog named Dug, then you will fall in love with Up, PIXAR's Oscar winner. As you probably know, Up tells the story of a 78 year old man who travels with his flying house to South America while an 8 year old Boy Scout like kid stumbles into the adventure of a lifetime. Yes, this movie did deserve the Acadamy Award, but to me it wasn't worthy to be in my top 5. I can't really explain why, but it really didn't have the same charm as my top 5 movies do. But otherwise, it's a very fun and energetic movie to watch, and it makes a nice lesson that can inspire people to do the same.
